The “International Non-pharmacological Therapies Project” (INPTP) is a community-based project to develop the science and practice of NPTs.

The Scientific Area is structured by the different NPT categories (music therapy, cognitive stimulation, physical exercise, counselling, etc). In each one of those categories, a team of experts work collaboratively on issues pertinent for its development.If you are knowledgeable in a certain NPT you are kindly invited to participate. In the Scientific Area there are also issues that concern the field as a whole: overall taxonomy, research methods, grading of the evidence, clinical recommendations, outcomes, finance of larger studies, econometrics, etc.

The Practitioner Area intends to serve all those therapists interested in enriching their daily practice with treatment proposals of their peers. If you have developed sessions in whatever category you can either upload them in PDF format if you wish to share without allowing changes. Alternatively you may copy/paste your intervention into wiki format so that your colleagues have a chance to improve it.

The Joint Area aims at making hard scientific facts easily accessible to practitioners. One section gathers TV interviews to renown researchers, another one lists scientific events and training programs (don't forget to upload your event!). There is also a Forum section to discuss diverse issues of our field.








The common goal that is to develop the science and praxis of NPTs to humanize and improve the quality of life (QoL) of the elderly, their families and professional caregivers.

 

At INPTP science and practice will merge to expand knowledge about NPTs. The website is an open community, meaning that knowledge will be freely available. Collaborators decide who they want to collaborate with, how much time they want to devote on the topics they have at heart.
